A slightly different approach to Special Relativity

Hi everyone.

I’ve decide to somewhat reconsider my views regarding Special Relativity. For over three decades, I’ve recognized and explored what has seemed many inconsistencies in the theory. I’ve had “countless” conversations and debates throughout the years, in real life, and on the internet. I quite often seemed to have questions they just couldn’t answer. As I’ve studied more within the recent months, and continued to ask questions to Google and ChatGPT (ironically), there is always a response which seems to accord perfectly with the theory. However, many of the ideas continue to seem incredibly outlandish, so how is the theory possibly accurate? Of course, there is much that is offered as experimental verification. So either the experimental results were a grand deceptive game that some of them secretly played, or they incorrectly interpreted the experimental results (whether accidental or intentional). However, there is the other possibility, that these were indeed valid experiments which prove the theory. I continue to have a high degree of skepticism, though at this point, though I think I’ll take the same “stance” as David’s father, Bob, who, when they both played a crucial role in creating the film “Einstein Wrong”, David asked him if he thought Relativity was a mistaken theory, and much to the astonishment of David, his father simply said, “I don’t know”.

This newer approach I mentioned might seem initially surprising, especially for those who have heard my previous views regarding Special Relativity. However, I see this as a potential way to more effectively influence those who agree with many ideas within the “mainstream”. It doesn’t mean that I can’t refer to the extensive “catalog” of ideas and counterarguments, many of which continue to apply. If some of us could “meet them where they’re at”, it could encourage honest and free thinking to consider all the relevant facts, even those facts which some of us might want to ignore or minimize the relevance of. Anyway, just a thought.
