Hi Clifford, I deal with Einstein wrong and all the consequences of that. What are your interests?
I am super interested in Einstein! It looks like a literal cult in the heart of science. It’s just absolutely amazing to me how this happened. By constantly professing the man a deity, his model of magical reasoning seems to have spread everywhere and become even a norm in some areas. I come from a philosophy background, and have had an obsession with creating high quality philosophy for 27 years after hearing totally absurd proposition after proposition coming from professional philosophy non-stop. In fact most teachers I see try to confuse students and teach them paradoxes are real/legit and you can’t trust your own mind. I am trying to figure out if philosophy broke physics, or physics broke philosophy hahaha. I see the schools of physics and philosophy both as having totally failed. What is the most absurd thing you think about Einstein’s ideas?
I think it’s how he measures distance using an imaginary mathematical grid attached to an immeasurable nothing, and claims to know the exact geometry it took… While simultaneously ignoring actual physical measurements on objects that are real.
Yes a cult. Einstein had some weird philosophising that seduced a lot of people. He started from believing Mach’s philosophy then changed his philosophy, making a mess of things. The main thing that physicists usually don’t deal with is underdetermination; where the math (Lorentz transformations) can be dealt with by Einstein special relativity or Lorentz theory. And when “they” do deal with the issue - their excuses for going with Einstein instead of Lorentz don’t make sense. Most of the paradoxes can be dealt with better by going with Lorentz instead of Einstein.
I agree! Ironically I think Lorentz himself didn’t believe in Einstein’s relativity and thought there was an aether/normal explanation. Take GPS. People always use it as a proof Einstein is right. Well relativity isn’t the only correction on GPS. If the math being right = the model is right, then why isn’t Sagnac or any of the other models also confirmed when the math yields correct predictions? There is a very simple test they could do, just take 2 rockets and fly them by each other symmetrically and film the clocks. Both should run slower as they pass each other. Cool let’s see a video of that, I’d love to see 2 different cameras filming the exact same clocks at the same time showing the other one as slower. I would concede immediately that Einstein is correct if I saw that and it would be the most earth shattering video ever. In my view he correctly discovered some physical principles but wanted to be famous and not just another Sagnac, or Stilwell etc… So he made up all this magic crap so his idea would sell to the public.
Well the relativists (believers in relativity) allow updates- in case of Einstein first paper on special relativity (SR) its not taking into account Sagnac effect, and if you want to deal with Sagnac then its treated as an update to that. As for filming at “the same time” - can’t do that because simultaneity is relative in SR and not absolute.
Yeah they will do that for sure hahaha, but it’s ridculous. Could just as easily argue relativity is addon to Sagnac. For non-simultaneity I don’t think it would matter in this case, it’s a fact that both cameras have to show the other clock running slower than their own as they pass each other. Well at least according to the Caltech physicist I asked, I have it in writing hahaha. AI also agrees that is a perfectly accurate description. I don’t even try to understand the theory anymore because there is always “another rule”… It’s designed to be unfalsifiable through extreme complexity/cognitive overload. So I just ask physicists for specific truths about how relativity will affect reality. . This experiment is simple and completely feasible with modern technology, and ends the debate once and for all, I am inclined to believe they don’t do that experiment because it tests the MODEL. Louis Essen talked a lot about this, and wanted to publish this (inventor of the atomic clock) but he was threatened into silence being told it would be the end of his career. When the inventor of the atomic clock isn’t allowed to speak on experiments that depend entirely on his invention… Well pretty obvious it’s a scam. You mentioned you work with this every day? If you don’t mind me asking I am curious how?
Answer to your question - I complain about relativity a lot on the internet; its not actually a job I get paid for.
